(apologies if you've seen it before)
Now this took brass balls, great insurance and ultimate conviction.  To go from great to dead would take only a couple of inches.

Early morning anglers are treated to the spectacle of four T6 Harvard Aircraft from The Flying Lions Aerobatic Team waterskiing across the Klipdrift Dam near Johannesburg South Africa.

Lead by Scully Levin, with wingman Arnie Meneghelli, Stewart Lithgow and Ellis Levin, this renowned air show display team rehearses a sequence for the newly launched "Aviation Action" television program on Supersport.

Arnie Meneghelli from Academy Brushware, owner of the aircraft had this to say, "What we did today I believe is a world first. It illustrates that South African airshow pilots are amongst the best in the world".

This unusual act, approved by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), and supported by Castrol Aviation, was meticulously planned and took place under the watchfull eye of divers and paramedics that were on site.

I saw it in the forums on Airliners.net a little while ago; I'd call that more than "semi" impressive.

The issue of Classic Wings which came out around Easter has a three- or four-page article on the pilots and the planning/operation of the flight. AND the normal centre-spread is a beautiful full-size version of Zoltuger's pic.

If anything, those Afrikaner pilots have guts. Anyone keen for a multiplayer attempt at doing this? B)

:ph43r: Second thoughts, I'll just watch!

I might try it on IL-2, FS would be too easy, set AutoPilot and away ya go :P I could see if I can get some AI planes to follow me as wingmen lol

Any suggestions for music?

Edit:

OK, not so good so far.... I may need a bit more practise, and I'm buggered if I can get my fellow so-called wingmen to follow me that low!

Diving down, keep with me chaps!

Ha ha ha
Matt you know as well as I do that Harvards don't have autopilots!
That video was hand flown in FS9, cross me heart
It took the entire length of the Columbia River, true, but it's genuine.
