Ardmore Airshow

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

I've heard there is going to be a small flying display at Ardmore tomorrow afternoon at 4pm- although can't find any details on the official website or any other NZ aviation sites- does anyone here have some more info?

"8th and 9th December: The Auckland Aero Club 24 hour Flyathon, starting midday Saturday"
This gleaned from the Akl Aero Club site

Sorry I did not see this earlier... according to the AWIB yesterday the airfield was due to be closed between 5 and 5:30pm local time...

One of the guys at the club said something about the NZ Warbirds having a kids party or something... and they were doing some flybys or something...

Yeah it was crappy... but exactly what I needed for my low flying exercise!! Unfortunately, I had to head home around 12... so I'm not 100% sure what, if anything, actually happened...
