Just a short note to go along with ZK-Brocks first solo... I passed my PPL flight test today...

YEAH BABY!!!

Its a restricted one, as i still have to do my cross countries... but I dont have to sit another test... I just do them and the flight examiner will lift the endorsement.

Now I just need the frigging Ministry of Justice to get off their arses and give me my (clean) criminal history (application sent January 7th!

) so I can send off the Fit and Proper person questionnaire... so the CAA can spend 3 weeks talking to the MoJ, Land Transport, Interpol, the CIA etc. to confirm that I am actually a fit and proper person and then they'll send me the little bit of plastic that says "PPL (A)"....

ps. anyone who lives in Auckland will know what I mean when I say the weather for my flight test today was 'interesting' <_<

Congrats mate, you can give us all a lift to the Whitianga airshow on the 23rd now then ay?

I bet you thought you were going to have a nice calm warm day today huh- where did all the rain and gloom come from?

Awesome, congrats HCP! Can't wait to get my license, probably spend every second weekend getting ratings on different planes or something!

Yeah... 3 weeks of B.E.A ootiful weather... and the day of my test it turns to s**t! Hahahaha and then just to annoy me... this morning is blue skies and sunshine.... bwahahahaha

Sounds great !! What aircraft did you do yr test in ?? Definitely a good Idea to do the 'upside downy fun stuff' even if it is not really your thing. Tis great for people to become more familiar with the real capabilities and limitations of both the aircraft and themselves as a pilot. A lot of people do get their aeros rating for that reason as opposed to just getting it for fun. I never wanted to get it for fun but did so to build my own confidence. I will admit that I don't really like aeros, well no where near as much as some people, but never the less I can do em when I want to. The best thing for me is takin other people up an chuckin the plane about, cos they usually get the most enjoyment.

P.S put the taildragger rating in there somewhere cos once ya get hooked on em it's hard to stop !
