Apparently very close to launching with orders from ANA and Vietnam Airlines - see here. Looks like a mini 787.

You're right - mini 787 sardine can with an Embraer nose.
I get claustrophobia just looking at the Flash animation...

You're Right, It does look like a mini 787 :P
Could be major competition for Embraer.

I reckon it's a bit Saab 340-ish at the front, from the side-on profile shots anyway. It's also very Embraer looking. I really like the look of it.

Haven't read the specifications or anything as yet. As long as it looks good, I'll find a way to make it my favourite aircraft at some point.

Does look a bit like a 787 and even a bit Saab-ish. Pretty sharp nose.

Looks interesting.
70-80 and 86-96 seats so competes with the E170 and E175 and almost with the E190.

I wonder how popular this will be?
Possible ATR replacement as opposed to E-Jets? (I don't really think so, could be possible, but there are a few people in the E-Jet camp)

Cheers
Anthony

The Ejet has had a big head start.

The MRJ is probably too late to replace Air NZ ATRs - I'm picking that they will replace them with Q400s.

Theres also the Sukhoi regional jet and then there is the Bombardier CJet (although thats a bit bigger at 100 or so seats) and the CRJ900 and then the Chinese also want to build one........... me thinks the market will get too crowded and some wil drop out just as it did with the smaller regional jets.
