Thank goodness they all turned out to be safe....I've been looking forward to flying on the Beech 1900D this coming Tuesday for the first time, and when I saw that I was a little concerned to say the least <_<

All I can say is "Yay no cockpit door"

I like the no cabin door idea. It's nice to be able to lean into the aisle and see what the pilots are doing before landing.

If you're referring to me, then nope... I find it interesting to see what they're up to. Also I can see the height of the plane well compared to the runway.

these things happen all the time- weren't the 737's grounded for checks just a week or two back?

What a surprise, I never heard about this!

It would have been nice to see the entire fleet of 16 1900d's parked up at Hamilton together!

Twas also funny to read that there are only 10 1900d's flying in the whole of Australia

Yes, for a issue with the tail rudder's I belive.

Any chance of sharing some photos from your flight on NZFF?

Just found a nice quality 56mb video of Beech 1900 flying very very low and abrupt steep manoeuvring (to test spar strength, African style!), complete with roll.

Right click link to save as: http://www.alexisparkinn.com/photoga...0_goes_low.wmv
