Hey fanatics

In the case you don't know this website here it's full of live ATC (with world map, make it easy to find what you looking for) and heaps of airport webcams. Take look at Australia Chatswood and control the webcam. Have fun guys! ;)

Still no NZ feeds though (nor at liveatc.net) which is unfortunate. I often listen to the closest tower I can get (Sydney usually) when im modelling, studying or flying (as back ground chatter) but it would be great to have AA tower up at least.

Towerguy, if you read this, would that be something that Airways would consider setting up? Or is it a case of 'we would rather not have people listening in thanks'?
It only takes a scanner and a internet connection

I do remember that there were some NZ feeds up on LiveATC, but they got taken down due to some breach of a communications law I believe... :(

yes there is a clause with not being legally able to talk to the press or re-distribute radio transmissions overheard on aviation frequencies I think?....maybe the CAA is a bit stricter on it than other countries?

Sorry Trolly, you're not even allowed to tell anyone we have ATC, as for streaming it .......

Been down that road not so long ago on the nzscanners mailing list :-)

Its a shame really....you do learn a whole heap just listening to ATC chat which makes one a more competent pilot....ah well...rules is rules I guess and it doesnt preclude scanners for personal use as far as I can tell.

Correct. Just listening is fine, even listening to Police is fine (while you still can). It's when you start to do anything with or react in any way to what you hear that things start going pear shaped.
