Unfortunately for me I then had a 6 hour drive to get to where I am now, middle California (for you atlas types, I'm in Visalia)
I wish it was just a hotel van I was waiting for hehe
The flight over was rough early on. We had reached initial cruise for about 40 minutes, and dinner was being served. It suddenly got rough, and my glass of water spilled over my fold down tray, and threw a full can of coke off my wife's tray onto her foot. It was like being in a bad earthquake, holding on for dear life. Dinner service stopped, and while we held on to our dinner, the cabin crew strapped themselves down. Then, it didn't stop so the pilot come on the speaker and said they were going to descend in the hope it was better below them. 20-30 minutes later it subsided.. Dinner service (and clean up) was then restarted. By then it was EXTREMELY late (like 1am NZ time) so I was really tired, and didn't enjoy the rest of the journey much
Andrew the plane I was on carried on to London less than two hours after landing in LA, so he'll definately be experiencing all of that
