Flight International magazine is in its centenary year.
They had a reader poll - 20,000 votes poured in for choices in the fields of most influential Civil Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Person, Engine and Moment.
Concorde features of course, as do Rolls Royce, the Wright brothers, and Apollo 11.

Quite the amazing accolades for many , all deserved in the own field ... nice to see space added as part of aviation rather than rocketry , .... but best part is reminding people that in 1927 someone crossed the Atlantic ocean .... The Wrights , there was a third , Charles Taylor the man who built the engine (ALUMININUM) for the flyer ! ...and so many more .. . need to have a good look at this list ,
did Richard Pearse get a mention ? .

Concorde wub.gif would have to feature. Even people who don't know a wing from a tail have heard about Concorde.
747 wub.gif is there too of course, how could you not put the 747 into that sort of list? And the Spitfire. thumbup1.gif
Good find Charl.
