This will seem weird, but how would you (hypothetically) go about buying say a second hand 737 cockpit from a scrapyard?
Also how much would they cost?

Hypothetically you would walk into a boneyard sales office:

"Good morning can I help you"
"Yes I'm looking for a 737 cockpit"
"Sure we've got plenty of those, what colour would you like"
"Well red for sure - they are faster after all"
"No problem - one red 737 cockpit - Thats $5000 thanks"
"Do you take VISA"
"Sure"

In reality you are probably only going to find these in the US. Try googling "737 scrap cockpit sale" or similar words and you will find links to sites like this
This is all well and good, but the killer of such dreams is freighting one of those suckers back to NZ. It will cost way more than its worth.

Then you'd spent another couple thou getting it home .. really you would wanta check it out yourself .. extra cost , outfit in the Mojave desert , very sure have an address here somewhere.

OK OK but you wished there was a scrapyard in NZ I know they don't have a 737 but there are plenty of Skyhawks maybe if anyone wants one. Now that we have had a change of Government talk to Mr Keys he may sell you one cheap tongue.gif
