I'm sure originally all the refurbishment were to be done by the end of December. In January's Air NZ magazine, I'm sure it said that mainscreen entertainment will continue to be shown on some trans tasman flights. Also I read on a forum (I think it was airliners.net) that the 767s were done and were very nice but nothing was said about the A320s. Could someone please tell me if all are refurbished or not? I don't really want to book an A320 flight because knowing my luck it will be the last unrefurbished one lol
Thanks

Not totally, but most 767s done and the A320s should be finished in a few months I believe. When are you booking your flight and what route? You have a pretty good chance to get a A320 with the PTVs, they are popping up quite a bit.

Oh yeah, I'm probably going to be flying in the next couple of weeks

AKL-SYD is one of the pretty major routes. Id say you have a pretty good chance of getting a refurbed one, they have mainly been poping up on BNE-CHC, SYD-AKL.

The media release said they were being upgraded Aug-Dec. I flew over to Raro in October for a week and we got one of the non-refurbished ones on the way there, and then one with very new shiny seats and AVOD screens on the way back. Chances are now that you'll get one that has been refurbished over one that hasn't I think. winkyy.gif

Thanks yeah I just read this on the Air NZ website..
"For journeys on A320 and B767 aircraft
(A320 aircraft will be progressively upgraded between August 2008 and February 2009)"
So I'm guessing I'll get a tv because I'm going over on a 767 and I'll definitely get one coming back on a 777.
Thanks for your help smile.gif

(The reason I wanted to know was whether or not to pack extra things to do smile.gif)
