Heh - there was a doco on TV (Nat Geo, Discovery??? One of them) a while back called Bomber Boys, where they did exactly that...they had an ergonomically correct Lancaster set up as a sim...

WWII flight experience anyone???

i remember watching that, they trained up a current RAF crew to fly a bombing mission in the lanc, gave the new raf boys a real tast of what they guys went through during the war.

I actually made the propellors for these out of Urethane.

I ended up having to increase the glass fibre quite considerably to increase strength as they wanted the props to run at a max of around 2000 RPM.

If they want that sort of RPM they must be thinking of taxiing these babies. Awesome. I want one.

Made enough Props for 14 Lancasters.

I can't give away all the secrets...

It sure looked damn though cool I must admit. Quite an honor to have a Lancaster taxi around Hood, even if it was towed by a tractor.
