It's called 'education'... but I hear they replaced that with NCEA dry.gif

If they don't refund it, threaten them with "I'll go to the (forgot which place it is, something fair tades beurau or commerce comission), If nothing happens there I'm going on Fair Go!" They won't want the whole of NZ who watches TV to know about this!

Yes but would they want the bad publicity, and have to pay a fine on T.V? I didn't think so.

Caveat Emptor was the rule before the Sale of Goods and Consumer Guarantees Acts were law. It was basically up to someone buying a product to know what they were buying, regardless of what the salesperson had to say about what the product was / could do etc.

Ahhhh the good old days of people taking responsibility of their own actions - I started my working life in retail back then (could smoke in shops, hell I used to have an ashtray on the shop counter, and remember standing in line at the bank having a smoke, todays wouldn't think of smoking indoors lol), in retrospect the consumer laws of today are better, but many of the kids of today don't take responsibility for their own actions.

I am rambling now, and sound like an old man, I'm not one... honest!!
