Video shows whats going on......the top blades stop spinnin, even when no imput is made to the controls

I have a Lama v3 as well and personally I think it was a waste of my hard earned $140! That said, they're easily repairable and parts are relatively cheap and plentiful through TradeMe. Any of the guys providing parts should be able to help you source whatever you need. From experience though, they are quite hard to setup correctly if you do happen to change parts and settings around.
There's numerous threads to be found overseas on similar topics, but I'd suggest that the motor is spent or close to it. I've read that many only last between 5-20 hours (So anywhere between 50-200 ten minute flights) and that's very dependent on how well they've been treated. Numerous fast throttle changes will quickly wear them out, as will continuous running at high throttle and not allowing the motors to cool down between flights. I'm assuming you've had at least a basic look around the heli to check the connections to the motor and 4n1 receiver? Its unlikely they'd come loose but it wouldn't hurt to look. The motors are easy to replace and there are guides on the net about how to go about it.

Just some background for others that may be reading - I've completely stripped and rebuilt my Lama twice. I bought the CNC metal parts off TradeMe and fitted them, but it actually flew worse than with the stock parts. So I took them off with the exception of the center shaft and its back flying nice again. I've been flying since Christmas and have only had to replace a couple of blades after a few blade strikes. Its a great learning machine but I've out grown it already and am looking at saving my pennies up for a BeltCP. Anyone considering upgrading their Lama would be better off saving that cash and putting it towards a new machine. Stay away from the Honeybee and Honeybee King series as they're not much better than a Lama according to the information I've read. However if you're happy with the Lama there's no reason why you can't continue with it given the parts are so cheap and it is so much fun to fly!
