well, i did it, and i have to say, my n95 is going to be on trademe sooner rather than later. Ive jailbroken it (i.e hacked), unlocked data on 3g, have it themed to look decent, its running on prepay, and i have filled it with 1gb of app store apps, and 100mb of jailbroken apps (if you know what this means), not to mention the 7gb of music and 2gb of video. And theres still 4gb left!

It really is a nice phone. I found its shortcomings to be outweighed by its touchy feely goodness (and the web browser) Sorry, just wanted to show it off smile.gif

Nice mate cool.gif What did it cost you in the end? New or second hand?
It's a pretty good little gadget - I had a go on one at Auckland a few weeks ago.

Not sure I see the point of an Ipone? Instead of having a stupidly expensive phone/music player, why not have a phone and an Ipod? I'm buying something like this for a new phone and the price of that is pushing it..

Why do people buy 'really good' phones? It's not as if girls go "Ooh, look at that guy. He's got an Iphone!"

I think iPhones are the new thing to have.

BUT WAIT!

For the same price, you can buy a car...plenty of options there too. For $1200 you can buy a CHICK MAGNET, at least a better one than an iPhone... So many 'other' things you could get with that sort of money unsure.gif

I'm quite happy with my hand-me-down cell phone that's probably a good 5 years or so old, no need for anything fancy on it, like internet, music etc. That's what I have a PC for afterall.

At least you're happy with it - have fun smile.gif
The iPhone is pretty cool, but you'd never see me paying that much for it.

I just bought an HTC Titan. Cost me $500 second hand and runs windows media and a divx player mp3 etc camera links directly with work and email, has seperate outlook, running tomtom gps on it and google navigator. I don't have to use itunes to get stuff onto it and watched the olympics live streaming to it. also has a number of productive featyres and programs - HP42s calculator for one. A hell of a lot more productive but the only issue is the memory - microSD upto 2GB. So I could buy an extra 70GB for the price difference to an iPhone. iPhone looks nice but compared to other products i still think it's a toy. Just like most other apple products tongue.gif (Ducks for cover)

(Gutted! just found out the titan is going for $149 on a 24 month contract sad.gif )
