Buggered off up to Auckland with the wife last weekend with two things to do... Catch the Bill Bailey gig on Sunday night, and pick up a new car for me (the Alfa Virus has been subdued)

Mission accomplished on both counts, and I now have a monster sized coupe sitting on the driveway wub.gif

1985 Audi GT Coupe, lowered on Vogtland springs, 17" Force alloys ex-USA.
2.3L Inline 5 cylinder which makes a very distinctive sound and hauls it off the lights in 3rd (just cause it can tongue.gif )

Oddly enough, me too winkyy.gif

Price-wise, it was enough to make the wife say things I haven't heard outside of a Navy mess-hall - yet low enough for everyone else to use the same words laugh.gif

LOL! when we got it back into Mt Wellington to pick up the brother-in-law, I was cruising around trying to find a park in the Sylvia Park carpark...
A group of young guys and I'm guessing the father of one of them were walking alongside it with the lads saying "WTH is that?" and the father replied with a serious tone that it was a Delorean, like in Back to the Future biggrin.gif

Spose it makes up for not having $50k to buy the real Delorean that was on Trademe last year

laugh.gif Maybe you need to get some huge Audi stickers made up and slap them on the side just to avoid confusion..
