Does anyone know which arrival air new zealand, qantas and pacific blue aircraft make
when arriving into Auckland Airport during a clear day.

When arriving from the south.

And finally what is the normal arrival procedure if you are joining a vor/dme arc? do you just join where your coming from on a set radial.

A lot of the time it is really weather dependent... listening to the ATIS for NZAA, you hear something like:

Auckland Information Charlie... expect Visual Approach... Runway Zero Fife Right...

when it is a nice sunny day...

and something like:

Auckland Information Foxtrot... expect ILS/DME Approach... Runway Two Tree Left...

when it is less than ideal...

If you have a look at the AIP sections for NZAA, you'll get a good idea of the different arrivals they have...
