Kind of gutsy of Samoan Air, I guess, interesting to see if it spreads, or if it lasts. Putting your baggage down on the scales first, then stepping on yourself overcomes the embarrassment of everyone knowing your weight, I can see people blaming their super-heavy baggage for the extra 20kgs...

laugh.gif" I can see people blaming their super-heavy baggage for the extra 20kgs..." Ian and I should get a discount laugh.gif

I know the bottom line is, weight ,for any transport operator . I do agree with the fact, that if your butt requires two seats ....pay for two, otherwise Im not sure.
Jetstar for example ....if you even think about having a baby , they wont let you fly .... and if you look pregnant (even if your not) forget it .... great way to generate a customer base.

That's the point, I guess, with all the kufuffle over paying extra for baggage etc -- where an obese passenger with no luggage pays less that a skinny dude with one checked bag, this is a sensible solution. I would have added myself to your cheap flyer list a couple of years ago, but now I think I'd be paying pretty much the same as anyone else.

Makes sense for such small planes with limited maximum take off weights. They can either carry 5 passengers for $500, or 3 passengers for $500. It's nothing personal, just smart business. Finally treating us like the cargo we really are.

I take great delight in observing all the ladies queueing up at the; "Cream Cake Department, Buy one, get two free!" at my local Sainsbury's Supermarket, and trying to calculate their weight, and the effect upon anything that they are likely to sit in/upon!

Paul....5'-7"...154 Lbs...brown eyes, a big smile, and an outrageous sense of humour!.... laugh.gif ...!
