Its surprising how smooth and quiet the AH-64 is .. purrs like a pusssy yet they slam music to it .. It would be most people interest to actually hear how docile these thing really sound.

Cool videos! The Apache does have a unique sound to it in real life. Higher pitched than what I would expect, but still very, very quiet.

Loved the Flanker footage, too!
In the metal, it is a much bigger aircraft than you expect.
And agility beyond what you can believe for a thing that size.
Look at 2:20 in the clip, you expect a "standard" (if there is such a thing) Cobra manoeuvre, but then look what he goes and does... absolutely astonishing.

They really are a stunning aircraft , i could , and have watched hours of footage . The Navy model looks really good operating off a carrier .

Looking at that footage .. incredible that camera did keep up even at a range and sometimes appears distorted , falling out off the sky only to apply the gas and ZIP back into his routine. cool.gif

Amazing .... i watched a similar clip " awesome f-35 take off " ..... not a patch on the Russian.
The whole Flanker routine , although showing some extreme moves , seemed very peaceful somehow , not sure how to explain it .
A superbly designed , and evolving aircraft .
Charl .... "One should start a Flanker thread" .... one should winkyy.gif
