Kai Tak airport in Hong Kong closes. Famous for its IGS approach to Runway 13 which was offset by more than 45 degrees and involved visually locating a painted chequer board painted on the side of the hill before a turn to finals. Loved this approach and well worth you tubing. The old airport is still not fully developed after 18 years but here is what it should look like when complete.
That is one scenery I simply had to buy, it was the my first outside New Zealand scenery I ever brought, I wonder how many Chinese plane spotters were pissed off with the closing and course people in the housing would have had some amazing views, I did have a book about a Cathay Pacific 747 flight from Kia Tak to London and back had some amazing city shots and the take offs and the landings... unfortunate was another I lost.
