Maiden flight of the British-built supersonic airliner, Concorde (The French were the first to fly Concorde 001 on March 2, 1969) - from Filton to RAF Fairford
Concorde was retired 26th November 2003, 3 years after the Crash of Air France Concorde out of Paris due debris on the runway

You gotta love that New Zealand history documentary of 25 years of the New Zealand 737, I guess they could make a doco 50 years in New Zealand registry.

Concorde and Avonhead primary school, in the school library and all the talk was this Concorde and Boeing 747, the aircraft books were always getting taken out by me, other big one on the stage incoming was the Galaxy, I thought back then we would never see these in New Zealand only four years later both the 747 and the Galaxy overflew Christchurch on separate occasions .. and the Concorde , that become a regular visitor ! so much for my early school day premonitions.
