A mod for Charl

Postby Splitpin » Sat May 25, 2019 9:09 pm

This is a bit rough, but it (to me) looks right ....not sure what the role would be. Maybe the 747SP version of the 777.
I might try a stretch, and see how it looks ....anyway , just playing.

Quite a slick transform... I am looking at this and seeing more Tupolev than Boeing!
The stretch would be nice; I reckon the B777X will be one of the best-looking airliners ever.

I am hoping ANZ with their new-found Boeing enthusiasm, spring for a few of those.

EDIT:
Flipping through to the GE 9x which will power the 777X I notice its diameter is pretty close to the B737 fuselage!
Given the MAX is a crock and people won't want to fly it any more, what to do with all those surplus airframes?
Couldn't a portion of that fuse be fitted under a super 777 wing, adjacent to one of those ginormous engines???

Charl, Boeing actually considered this albeit briefly.

I don't have your skillz or patience... but I reckon something could be made of this.
"We at Boeing understand your concerns about MCAS.
Well, we've taken MCAS right out of the loop.
Boeing: Your Safety First."

:D legend ..... Charl, that is fantastic!
I thought about including the cockpit section but kept referring back to your original brief, a fuselage section.(not thinking of the front bit)
I had no idea how to streamline it, or where to hang it.(as in, inboard/outboard)
I can most definitely work with your "work up"
Perfect sense to use the forward section as a "pax pod" ... those non cockpit, but still forward seats will be premium.

All services can still be routed via the wing, but I'm not sure about entry and exit ....I'm sure we have people who deal with that stuff, you know....the people down in room 1002....or 1003,....the door people ;)

"Biggest floatplane ever " Mike ...mike, mike ...no mate, those are "pax pods"
We are, as we speak "working through the issue" and "going forward, hope to resolve it" which in essence, is 2019 BS speak for ...we know feck all and should have listened to the people in room 1002.

Bugger ... you win, its the worlds biggest bloody float plane ... B-)
