Life, the universe and...

Postby toprob » Sun Jul 16, 2023 5:51 pm

...just one thing. And not much universe, come to think of it.

Today my ex-wife and her husband moved out! They now live in Wellington, and I wish them all the best. However life will be a lot more relaxed here now. No dog barking at every little thing happening in the valley, no big boof bloke blocking out the light and sucking up all the air. Bliss!

P.S. just a week shy of nine months, after being told just a couple of months. I'm getting too old for this.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

I did ask the AI inside my head, and it said '67'.

It's wonderful living on our own!.... ....!

The peace, quiet, tranquillity and total joy, are almost overwhelming!
Even though married for a number of years since 1953, looking back, I have spent almost all of them being mostly on my own, whilst my Wife entertained the troops in Town, etc, each evening, night, and following day!!
The marriage finally ended around 1975, and I've remained mostly on my own ever since.
I heard recently that she passed away a couple of months ago, aged 89 years, (the same age as me).
The glorious part of my marriage was the result of five wonderful children, all of whom have their own children, and I love dearly, the eldest two now retired!!
I think that some of us were designed to remain living on our own during our lives, for all the joy that that can bring!
My large house is full of all the various "toys" to play with; Computers and computer games, Electronics, Musical Instruments, Books, Paintings, Drawings, etc...
..and a large back garden to maintain!
No more new Furniture, Carpets, Curtains etc, to waste money on!
And my two motorcycles transport me around my local world...(when it's not raining!).
...and my kitchen is occupied only by myself, to prepare and cook all my wonderful tasty meals all day, every day.
Sometimes I think that I am "blessed"..... ...!
There you go, folks... ...>>>
...the life of a Happy Hermit!..LOL... ... ... ...!
Take care all...and love yourselves!!... ...!

Paul... :D ... :D ...!... :UK:
