My mum (80) is a space / flight nut , she recently sent me a "timetable " for the ISS ..... so like a good son , i go outside (and freeze ) 5mins before the scheduled transit .... look up , and there it was ... amazing , and a song popped into my head ......

According to the US Navy, 65 is to be the last ship named Enterprise, they have stated several times there won't be another US Naval vessel carrying it. There is also a petition online (Google for it) for the Navy to reconsider...

I have not checked, maybe 65 is to be turned into a museum and carry the name, the very same thing happening with CV6 and USA outcry the ship was not immortalize due to its battle honours, this maybe the reason for it

Nope 65 is recycling. After the reactors and other hazards are removed at Newport I believe, the rest will be towed to Washington State for scrapping. A very unfitting end for this old girl..
