when you start the test, "adjust" the rear view mirror. It looks good
Also learn up on your give way rules, cause if you cut someone off at any point, it can be an instant fail

Pretty much just take it easy, but not too slow and you should be fine. Seeming confident and like you know how to drive (i.e. not sweating up a storm, not fluffing up gear changes) helps heaps.

Wouldn't even consider not stopping at a stop sign- its second nature to me because I always stop.

I know how you feel mate sad.gif
They put stop signs at both ends of my road a couple of years back, even though its 20kms out of town.

It makes sense. Assuming it is 20km out of town it is probably in a 100km/h zone, so stopping and having a second look before pulling out would be my preferred choice rather than getting t-boned by 42 tonnes of truck at 95km/h..

Yup, you HAVE to stop at a stop sign. Rolling through a stop sign doesn't show to the tester that you're a better/more confident driver. Neither does driving at 55 in a 50 zone.

yeah, but people like me live on roads that have stop signs at the ends even though they connect to either a metal dirt road or another rural not busy road (Whakamarama Rd)
