Here is a print both myself and my younger bro Richard bought our father, back then I had just started work and then I recall it cost me two full week wages, Rick was earning a little more than myself, me engineering and him a labourer in a concrete place, so a little cheaper for him , this print by Barrie A. F. Clark released in early 1979 hangs on the wall here after our father died in 1986, I've pointed out to the regulars here and visitors just how much I was not using my eyeballs back then , keeping it on the wall is a good way to remind myself to check details , lets see if anyone here can find the errors ?
Maybe regulars here and visitors should not mention anything and let see how good peoples perception is here :)

Off all things on Tuesday I had a customer stop here , wanted a Chrissy Prezz for her son who fly's Seasprite's , they brought an A4 format SEASPRITE & F421 HMNZS CANTERBURY, the pilot a now Lt Cmdr was brought up around Rangioura .

The really weird part, new people who now own Flat No.4 were cleaning and setting it up for new tenants, I was out mowing the lawn and entertaining the Chinese tourists when Cliff and Cherryl introduce themselves .. obviously told I was the lawnmower man , their son fly's the NH-90's , he is part of the 75th anniversary RNZN Celebrations ... think now more involved in Kaikoura.

I asked if he was involved with EQ recon and survey , they were not sure , simply can't phone during working hours but their daughter also RNZAF was climbing on board the P3K Orion this morning doing the same as they did over CHCH in 2011 .

So now I have another topic and subject for a requested painting .. so will see how I go .. still half dozen in the works two almost ready. ..... but the is so close to home it is not funny.

Thanks Marty, It is a small world , just so surprised they all turned up on my doorstep in one day , great thing is I give me an excuse to continue on the early start with knowing I,m so close to a prospective customer , and again mentioned the daughter is also RNZAF .. Cliff told me she is 'Spitfire' mad so another subject .

Again ... good on you.
If I may offer some advice (take it or leave it) concentrate on those special requests ..... word of mouth is worth more than any amount of advertising .
Those people , know people , who know people ... and on it spreads.
Good luck fella ....

Now here's a thought .... because of your location , get your sign made in Japanese and Chinese as well .
You will have to research both nations aviation / naval histories (as if you haven't  ) and I think you could become busy ... just a thought.

Matey , I don't have to, already with my website up on the front wall, I'm out there with the lawn mower every couple of days around lunch early afternoon with 'Marty's Marvelous Lawnmower' and the tourists flock in to see real 1960's lawn mower in action, they then also want a go at it :)

I was asked to colourise and redo the "THE PHANTOM - BIRD ON A WIRE" , still a little messy but the result is showing some dividends, a mixture of Adobe CS5.5 and water colour and water colour pencil, the original drawing done three and half years back in pencil and black inks.
