Saturday 8th August.
A nice warm, sunny weekend for a change, so I made some tours of the Herefordshire countryside:
Hereford to Ledbury, Ledbury to Much Marcle, Much Marcle to Ross, Ross to Cinderford in the Forest of Dean, Cinderford back to Hereford in time for Tea!
A fantastic ride on my Baby Yamaha 2-Stroke, stopping off in different places!

Sunday 9th August.
Cloudier, but still warm so took a trip From Hereford to Abergavenny in Wales to meet up with fellow Bikers.

Whilst there I took some Photographs of a very rare, and expensive special Motorcycle.
A Nor-Vin!
A 998cc Vee-Twin Vincent Rapide engine she-horned into a Norton Feather-bed frame!
Nostalgia for me as I once owned an original 1949 HRD 998cc Rapide with the same engine in its original frame!

...and here she is!...>>>

A fantastic ride, and arrived back home just in time for my Sunday Dinner...Roast Pork and Apple Sauce.

What could be nicer...a bike ride and a nice dinner!

128 miles over the week-end on my Yamaha 98cc 2-Stroke Motorcycle!

One cap for fuel in the tank, the other cap for oil in the triangulated box frame.

...DONT get them mixed up!.... ...!

Very popular over here, Ian...>>> http://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/electric-bikes

Still got to watch out for blind, errant motorists, though!

Ideal for shopping, and trips to work (when its not raining).

I always give Cyclists a wide berth on my Motorbike. I am aware of their difficulties!

Thing is, you can buy a second hand motor scooter for less than the price of a new Electric Push Bike!

Things with engines in warn other motorists that your are there!

Paul...I like engines, with pistons and things going round and round, and making a noise!... ...!

Something like this but had top speed off 50 km , but also had the pedal option ... just simply ideal , the bike side was gear to handle steep climbs .. I recon you could start a new sport with them ... just have to be creative .

I cannot believe that some of these Dads are so laid back with their new present from their Sons, etc...>>>...

I suspect that that sort of group excitement above, only happens in the USA!

If one of my Sons treated me to a Harley Davidson like that as a surprise, I would be over the Moon, jumping for joy, and giving them a massive hug!

My Helmet would be on my head, the Bike fired into life, and I would be OFF into the sunset with a massive grin on my face!.... :groupwave: ...!

They would certainly know how much I appreciated my present from them!

So...come on Lads....Where is my new Harley Sportser 48/72?.... :wink2: ... :wink2: ....!

Paul.... :D ...!

...and how to get a cuddle, (plus extras), from your wife...>>>

How about a DMW Deemster? (only motorcycle I know of with windscreen wipers and a roof)
It's about three-quarters of the way down this page:

MikeW
'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Now there's a blast from the distant past!

DMW!

I remember that name well, during my 1950's bike riding!

Lots of famous British, German, and Italian models around at that time!

Happy memories of mine!....>>> https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=1950% ... 62&bih=585

Paul.....65+ years of never-ending, happy motorbiking! .... :D ....!
