Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Found this interesting "interview" with a British eval team regarding the A400M:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7u3DaXMnQ4g...;feature=colike

I missed all the chatter about this new aircraft which seems to be regularly touted as the "C130 replacement". Knowing how some people treat anything with the name "Airbus" with quite a bit of disdain, it was interesting hearing how these chaps felt about it. I can only presume they are much further along in the production process by now - has Airbus actually got the A400M's moving out the door yet?

Sentence mentioned there , 'used the stick to much in the simulator' ..... dose that mean that was many of possibles the reason brand new airbus .. side stick controller may have cause conflict , funny how the RAF are now going back to the same weight lift class as the Short Belfast which they sold off , altho the 400 is better equipped for a more robust environment , guess would only be a handful to strengthen tactical to take out the fuzzie wuzzies

Flight test machines only, four of them. Three more are on the production line now due for deliveries to clients before the end of the year.
Some interesting vids and background here on the machine...

Another classic Bottomless Pit Military Project.
The cost overruns exceed the GNP of several countries.
Thank goodness they stopped calling it a "Grizzly" although "Atlas" is pretty lame too.

Can one say something nice about this aircraft?
Not when there's a Boeing C-17 available, off the shelf.

The A400 is the biggest single reason the RAF discovered how good the Globemaster III really is.

For any other Dac drivers out there, here's the official USAAF C47/DC-3 cockpit procedures:

Part 1.
Part 2.
Part 3.

Interesting geography lesson .. nicely done ... then to have the flight crew jump on his APC ... then have the final call out RETARD RETARD .. only to show a retard looking A380 .. I believe tongue.gif
