Guys, Ive been working on a project for Garry Russell (his bristol freighter) .....i offered to get some pics for the 2d cockpit......this has taken me to the Airforce museum here in chc (they are getting sick of me ) and all the way up to Omaka. I really thought it would be easy.....wrong!!......i know what they want, i picture the "pictures" i need.....Ive looked at dozens of 2D photographic cockpits, and do you think i can get it right......not on your life.
The guy Ive been dealing with in the UK (Nigel Howrd-Jones....really nice guy) is going to off line for a few months, and i dont think Garry is too well at the moment......anyway Nigel has passed me on to Dave Booker.....who has 2d'd just about everything
........I know they visit this forum, but i just wanted to get some feed back from you before i contact Dave....as he's a real stickler, and i dont want to waste his time.
I know the Wigram freighter has that perspex panel in some shots....but that can be removed.....i know the overhead shot is not right, and the "look left" from the right seat is a bit odd.
The "look left" from the left seat has caused some problems....i think there should be some more frame in the shot....but when you sit there, your shoulder is half up the window, and that view is what you see.......so hard to get the camera too "see" what you really see, in a confined space.
The other problem is, the 2 aircraft are completly different inside....the Wigram one has no right seat or yoke, so maybe photoshop will help here by combining the 2 some how.
Sorry to go on and on....but , please look at the pics (sorry so many) and tell me what you think............
Regards
Marty
