After the dawn parade thismorning I was looking at a few photos that I have collected of re enactment over the years. My main focus was on Vietnam. I felt that not enough was being done to commemorate those ANZAC heros. Below are a few photos.

A break in filming a short film. Photo aged suitably.

Same film. I am the standing soldier third from the right.

Armistace day in Cambridge.

Me as M113 comander. Armistace day in Cambridge.

I agree Chopper, we could do more for the Nam vets....i think lately they have been given a little more status....but still think more is needed.
I know a few of them, all about 10-12 years older than me, so they are starting to age as well, as are the WW2 guys. And of course now we have all the gulf and middle east guys coming along as well. Kind of sad when you think we have an endless supply of people to replace the original WW1 vets.....and thought it was going to be the last war.....

Your pics are great....nice to see the old SLR again, you caught that ejected caseing well..........had one go down the front of my shirt once....jeez they get hot ohmy.gif

Thanks for shareing......fly safe thumbup1.gif

My Father was a Korean Vet , he fired the Bren gun during an assult it was hot in Korea but made it hotter when a burst ejecting , recall 3 rounds , the cases were flung up his sleeved army fatigues ... at Burnham Army Camp during an open day in the 70s , good old Dad was telling the Sarge and was offered a shot on the range ... prone position did the same thing , only one casing this time , jezz it was funny .

Great photos and re-enactment .
