Museum work

A forum for everything else that does not fit into the other categories

I thought some of you may be interested in what Im doing at the Air Force museum a couple of days each week. Im working with a very dedicated team of people....Im in the old #2 store , which is the recieving area for any donations etc. I am extremly impressed by the dedication and respect these people have for every single item they deal with....even ball point pens are donated, and put through the same process as anything else.

My boss is the curatorial officer (ex RAF museum). Im not paid...in fact i would pay money to do what Im doing....but its been a great way to recover, and get back into the work "feel" again.
The work is varied ....Im learning something new every time a go there.....i just love it.

Anyway, the pics.........an early morning couple of the old SGHQ Building and tower

There are 4 other areas like this, and 1 off site, as well as the restoration hanger and aircraft store.
Once enough funding is found the extention will be built allowing the Freighter, andover, strikemaster, ct-4 and seasprite to go on daily public dispaly

There you go

Marty
