For those who are interested, I came across this article today:

What do you think - is Boeing trying to be too smart for their own good, or is this sort of thing par for the course when developing any airliner? As I've wondered before, I wonder if this sort of thing is fairly "normal" when developing an commercial airliner, and that it is more that we are now able to quickly access information that, in years gone by, would have been hard to come by and / or limited to a small group of "those in the know" and their direct contacts?
