I take photos of almost anything!!! Apart from aircraft, I also take lots of people photos, and thought that I would share my favourite photo from my current trip, which is northern Colombia. I already think that this will be THE photo of the holiday, the light (taken just before sunset), the framing, the expression on the mans face, and the depth of field all seem just right here.

For those who are interested, it was taken with the trusty Panasonic FZ28, 1/250 at F4, ISO 100 and focal length of 65mm.

I know that it has absolutely nothing to do with aircraft or simulation, so it is definitely off topic. Nice photo though!

smooth landings.

Northern Colombia is full of surprises!! Far more relaxed and friendly than you would think, and also far safer than many other places that I have visited. One amusing thing, there is a domestic Colombian airline called AIRES. Interesting to read their rules about carrying guns onboard. Although you cannot take scissors or knives (they are dangerous), hand guns ARE allowed:-

Carrying Firearms and Weapons

If you are traveling with us and you carry a firearm, please consider the following information:

At our counter you must inform that you are carrying a weapon. The staff will indicate you how to obtain an authorization to transport weapons.
National Police will authorize the weapon transportation an hour before the flight departure, verifying boarding pass and the weapon’s permissions you must have.
Only one weapon will be transported with two (2) loads of ammunition.
The weapon must be transported by the owner. This means he/she must be aboard.
Due to air safety rules, we will only allow the transport of personal endowment weapons, such as handguns and revolvers. Big weapons are not allowed.

so I will not take a big gun then!!! Oh, must not forget either that I cannot take scissors, they are dangerous!!

smooth landings.
