Just a quick heads up that a new season of Ice Pilots starts tonight on National Geographic Channel, 7:30.

Don't worry Dean , i have only just upgraded TV and for only this new required freeview , Sky is for the aircraft and planes not for box watchers biggrin.gif

Didn't see this post until now.. :/ Big fan of ice pilots and didn't even know it was airing season 2 in NZ yet!

@Deeknow,

Don't fret i have recorded all the episodes over here and can flick you a copy when i get back. I also have season one complete. If you can wait until late June or early July you are more than welcome to have them. Well worth it, some very cool flying on there.

There are a bunch of CL215T's here in Marignane for fire fighting over the summer months. I had to go out to MP airport yesterday and watched two of them flying in some pretty windy conditions. They were damn near hovering at times. ( Close to what a real aircraft should be able to do.) Added to that are some turbine powered trackers that are either training or maritime patrol but not sure.

Have had some fun in the sim here, although i am much better with aircraft with controls you have to move to fly than with a fly by wire system that flies on the trims mostly.
