May not seem like much, but I've had the same avatar here of my daughter for the last 4 years. This year I decided to change it. Like my last one, it is of the thing I care more than anything else - my daughter.
I don't participate here much, but I've met a couple of people, and really you guys are one of the last links of home to me. I've spent most of my life in the nearly torn apart city of Christchurch, but have now lived in Western Australia for 6 years.
I count you guys and girls as friends, and thought I would share this moment with you all.
Before I had the wee girl the thought of having a child with a disability seemed pretty scary - I knew there was always a chance with my wife being deaf, and sure enough, the wee one is deaf.
Then we found at she appears in the Autism spectrum.
There is not a day goes by that I worry about these now. My little girl has a total unbridled laugh, and although it can be loud, I don't think I've met a person yet that doesn't smile when they see her laughing. I'm proud of my wee girl, and everything she does.
Thanks for reading and being part of my life.
