Im stuck in the hanger for a few days.....my own fault i think. I mentioned before i was reloading fs9,,,which i did......also put in rex for fs9....then updated rex for fsx.....and bang!!
FSX wouldnt start....it said the fsx exe was missing...anyway, tried a repair via the #1 dvd.....got it to start but only got as far as the first screen, then the "...has en counted a problem" popped up. So i now have about 50gb of free space....and start again.

Also have my father back in hospital from early this morning, so I'll catch up when i can.....

A thought Marty , did you have FSX and FS9 on independent HD's , some say partition works and thought that is what you had set up .

Thanks Ian....no partition .....anyway its not a problem, i really dont think I'll spend much time back in FS9 now anyway....was a time i couldnt let go of it, but fsx and all its got just spoils anything else.....sad to say, but Ill keep all my stuff for it ....you never know.
Now Im having trouble getting VLC back in...before i cleaned everything out, i backed up all my VLC to a cd.....now, when i try to open the folder (winrar) it says its corrupt....what next .....will have to contact Timmo or Rob and ask for yet another download......

Thanks Naki....i just wish the old chap was as easy to fix as the sims.......maybe he has a system restore button somewhere....would be nice.
