I agree, but you cant say things like that Ian , because it might upset someone...............WTH!! Dont get me started , because I'll be banned from the forum.
I was down in Hagley park today flying a little RC Chopper and i saw those no hoper protesters again ....all of whom wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the people they supposedly hate......brain dead idiots.
Then i read in the press about our so called city manager on over half a million bucks a year....for what? arrogant tosser.... he's out playing golf while the real workers are cleaning up sewerage and liquefaction.....
You know what........this jumped up little back water of a country needs to wake up.....and soon!

Calm down guys you know that what we say and think wont stop or get through to those idiots they haven’t got the brains to take it all in.
If you want to change the law to stop all these criminals then lets all start pushing for a law change and sentencing to be changed.
What we need is to get the RNZN involved and sentence all criminals to a trip to sea and a swim back the more server the crime the further out they go and if they make it back to shore and commit another crime the sentence is doubled if they make it back from the second one and commit another offence the sentence will be double again and keep doubling the sentance until they run out of criminals or we finnish up with some of the worlds best long distance swimmers.
Just imagine the cost saving no more prisons just need a few small holding pens to keep them until the Navy pick them up.

Doug - you should be in politics with ideas like that about 80% of the country would vote for you... I like that idea very much

It's bit more humain than my $2 .308 solution - they do get a chance not to re-offend with yours.

why should I as a tax payer have to pay for longer and longer navy trips for reoffenders?
Take them all the same distance out each time - just give the reoffenders a heavier sandbag each time...

You are already paying for the Navy to do their exercises its just a matter of holding them in their holding pens until the Navy going on a longer trip.
But I do like the idea of an ankle band with a sand bags hooked to it for the second offence and then add another one for each further offence.

to save money we could combine the airforce and the navy and use A320's - with an outboard in place of an apu - it's been proven they float.
