I love one of the comments: "De-icing is for pussies..." laugh.gif Yeah, until the aircraft falls out of the sky, clawing for altitude, the wing's lift performance all shot to h*ll. Perhaps it's actually part of a training series for pilots: "Episode 5: Spot the deliberate mistakes".

It's unfortunate that the safety and maintenance standards are so lacking over there. As can be seen, it really leads to a fear of Russian aviation...one which is brought on by their own actions.

And then they come , immigrate to New Zealand , i was a engineer for thirty years , one an ex T-84 tank driver .. or so he said .. Safety was not a concern , covers a machine sensor with insulation tape rather than shut the machine down ... a Russian tank driver i believe - but just make sure your 3 clicks on start up , a 3 tonne drum of cable aint going stop at a push of a button .... WHOOPS .. Uri covered the sensor for that ... OSH my GOSH !

Pfft... what's a little powder snow, blows off halfway down the runway!
Russians know their snow...

Tell you what: On recent and past performance, I would not easily board a Boeing in Pakistan.
