Here we go again , The allies considering yet another tactical stuff up ... and achieve what ? a few more new graves at Arlington and the like .
You have to be honest , the track record isn't great is it ? Iraqi ( resolved ?) Afghanistan (resolved ?) Two!! people i knew (with family) , never came back from there ..... a 100% complete and utter waste of life.
I know they volunteered , i know they knew the risks .... but it wont bring them back, and if we hadn't been party to fact ...ie , sucking up to the U.S , they would be here.


I know kids are being killed , and i feel for them and the families , but this has been going on for thousands of years..... its not our fight.
No one Nation , or even a collective of nations (of which , all have baggage) can proclaim themselves the world police.
Good God .... we are still looking for the " Weapons of mass destruction " that Iran was meant to have.

Oh yes , they can brag "we got Saddam , Osama and Gadaffi" (excuse spelling if not correct ) and achieved what ? ...... its a no brainer .... NOTHING !

I really feel that this could be the beginning of the end , if these people are allowed to make the rules, and implement them.

Dont talk to me about the U.N either , what a complete waste of time ..... list their lasting achievements in the last 10 years ?

I normally back down a little on these rants (after the fact) to suit the group, but not this time , so shoot at will ...... tell me Im wrong , this whole thing gets me soooo angry.

Your're wrong! ..seriously through I think its more damned if you do or damned if you don't. Yes not our war (or US or UN, NATO or whatever) but there are innocent humans been killed and this day and age we just can't stand by and just watch...although they better be damn sure who fired those chemical weapons before they take shots.....we ignored Rwanda and look what happened there. As for the others (Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq) ...some damned evil guys have now gone from the face of the earth...on the other hand was it really worth it?...perhaps...in Afghanistan in any case IMV...have my doubts about the others

Syria is behind Australia in the crude oil production stakes*. Your statement is not only wrong in this regard, it is also wrong on an historical level- the US didn't go to Iraq for oil- where's the evidence of that? Where are the convoys of tankers taking Iraqi oil to the US? There aren't any. Why? Because (and who knows what reason the US went in) it wasn't for oil.

Yeah nah, we will know after the appropriate investigation. If they've been used, they've- by balance of probability- been used by the governmental forces.

Ive said this before , use the old cut the head of the snake tactic .
Every country in that region has a neighbour they want to cut there heads off , they want to chop into little bits ... you teach them technology and from history give them the means to use the weapon and they will use it .

Solution:

1 - Target any military bases , depot supply airbase and destroy them without warning - taken out some trained military personal (even the sides up)

2 - Remove the media and all outside world contact , no supplying of weapons ammunition or hospital supplies.

3 - Send the troops in but only to patrol the large border so no one gets out .

4 - Let them go for it ! ... they will run out of weapons

Result : If any off them had piece of grey matter up-stairs in their brain cases they may come to realise they need each other ...

MISSION DONE : Over and out

But... how will these chaps then balance their budgets?

Part off the problem of going into syria is that, iran has a defense pact with syria (fairly sure about that) which means if they bomb syria then a war starts with Iran aswell. Now the Killing of Kids and using people my age as soldiers is frankly disgusting. I am also convinced that when some protesters started 2 years ago in Syria they did not want a Civil War. But wanted to hold talks.

So i personally think that all women and Kids should be allowed to flee. And the rest of the country should just fight it out. It's not our Business, to stop these people fighting they have done so for 100s of years. Frankly i personally hate any war. In fact i only play DCS for the flight sim part, since my fsx is stuffed on my machine ( bit of explaining there for ya's to say i don't like the combat part (although dogfighting is kinda interesting).

The UN was always doomed, the fact that they gave countries veto rights, like Britain, China, USA, USSR now Russia. Meant that any UN action can be vetoed by a power that has it's own agenda.

And the thing i hate about this part of the world (middle East) is that the different clans started fighting in the beginning by a religious deference, (who was the successor to a man). Now that's why Suni's fight She'a and that. (excuse spelling.)

As for what the UN did in Rwanda is shocking 100 days and over 1 million People got killed. The UN is a Hornless Ram That runs to the Anglo-American's to police the world.

As You said Marty, the killing of women and Kids is disgusting. And as You and Ian said it's not our concern about the Guys there. And if the guys want to fight it out let them and deplete there Damn "power" because the world does not need people like Assad and, The rebels.

The English are feeling the pinch in relation to recent events in Syria and have therefore raised their security level from "Miffed" to "Peeved." Soon, though, security levels may be raised yet again to "Irritated" or even "A Bit Cross." The English have not been "A Bit Cross" since the blitz in 1940 when tea supplies nearly ran out. Terrorists have been re-categorized from "Tiresome" to "A Bloody Nuisance." The last time the British issued a "Bloody Nuisance" warning level was in 1588, when threatened by the Spanish Armada.

The Scots have raised their threat level from "Pissed Off" to "Let's get the Bastards." They don't have any other levels. This is the reason they have been used on the front line of the British army for the last 300 years.

The French government announced yesterday that it has raised its terror alert level from "Run" to "Hide." The only two higher levels in France are "Collaborate" and "Surrender." The rise was precipitated by a recent fire that destroyed France 's white flag factory, effectively paralyzing the country's military capability.

Italy has increased the alert level from "Shout Loudly and Excitedly" to "Elaborate Military Posturing." Two more levels remain: "Ineffective Combat Operations" and "Change Sides."

The Germans have increased their alert state from "Disdainful Arrogance" to "Dress in Uniform and Sing Marching Songs." They also have two higher levels: "Invade a Neighbour" and "Lose."
