Dont worry , its not a rant, just some questions.

Ive spent the afternoon listening to some very informed people looking at both sides of the debate , but some things weren't made clear so maybe there will be some insight here.

1: If the U.S go in with whatever plan they decide on , what will the Russians do ?

2: Why have the allies always backed the "rebel" faction , which is known to be fragmented , and contains groups that includes Al Qaeda ?

3: Why can the U.S and other nations have nuclear weapons and Iran cant.?

4: Is agent orange a chemical weapon ?

5: If they take out the present regime , what will they replace it with ?

6: Is this just a case of making Obama and the U.S look credible ? (to Israel etc)

7: Why cant the local population (Turkey , Israel , UAE ) etc deal with it ?

8: what has this too do with France ?

Just thinking.

1: Would have to wait and see
2: Because they are only protesting because they didnt agree with what was done then the government starting killing them so they started fighting (<---- I think thats how that worked)
3: Trustworthy, Iran isnt
4: No, It is a Herbicide that was used to clear forest, just it was very poisonous
5: Thats an issue talked about cause all other candidates are nearly as bad
6: Is now because they said they would do it so they have to follow through
7: Dont want to get there hands dirty/ go to war by themselves
8: Same as it has to do with America. Nothing, its just that there been a war crime so something has to be done.

Welcome to the politics ... exactly the same questions ask and probable same will be repeated ten days , two plus weeks a month to six weeks ... AGAIN !

Ive said this before , use the old cut the head of the snake tactic .
Every country in that region has a neighbour they want to cut there heads off , they want to chop into little bits ... you teach them technology and from history give them the means to use the weapon and they will use it .

Solution:

1 - Target any military bases , depot supply airbase and destroy them without warning - taken out some trained military personal (even the sides up)

2 - Remove the media and all outside world contact , no supplying of weapons ammunition or hospital supplies.

3 - Send the troops in but only to patrol the large border so no one gets out .

4 - Let them go for it ! ... they will run out of weapons

Result : If any off them had piece of grey matter up-stairs in their brain cases they may come to realise they need each other ...

MISSION DONE : Over and out

In my humble opinion.... winkyy.gif ....

..unless certain countries have a strong "Dictator" in control, (know who I mean?), the various resident "tribes, etc" will always enjoy kicking the cr*p out of each other to gain control!

Experience in the past says that they enjoy doing it, its always been the same, so leave them to it...they will never learn anything different!

Just go shopping at Wallmart....

..that's what I would do... smile.gif ...!

Paul.... cool.gif ...!

What was wrong with the other thread? I don't say to be rude but the other thread seems OK to me.

Thought i might chip in on this discussion.
I think if we are to take a look at this issue escalating in Syria one needs to take a look at the bigger picture. All we need to do is stop listening to what the mainstream media is feeding us and do just a little research. I'm sorry if i come across as the man wearing the tinfoil hat in the room but the truth needs to be sought after. I remember a member here in a similar topic saying that its got nothing to do with oil. My friend its everything to do with Oil. I Urge you to just take 15mins to sit down and watch this video. Ignore the title as i think that seems a tad extreme but it paints a clear picture as to WHY this is happening. Watch the small video here

That was me. And it has nothing to do with oil. I turned off your video 10 seconds in. Why? Because it's unfounded bollocks.

What's personal about it? No one has been insulting in the thread have they? I would prefer if people debated with facts rather than Youtube videos and sooky PMs, mind.

Alright then. I'm willing to debate this but i PM you as your reply was indeed blunt and i'm not willing to be the one who gets the thread locked. Tell me why you don't think Iraq was about Oil?

Yes but then you replied that this isn't about oil. Its pretty simple to see that the United States is just protecting her interests and that's plainly Oil. and it also gets them closer to Iran. Its fairly obvious. If the U.S were the world police they think they are then where were they in Rwanda? why not take out president Mugabe for all the atrocities, Kosovo? i can go on and on here. but why? there was no financial benefit for them. Lets face it, this is modern day empire and what do big empires do? they resource horde. those who has the most toys wins!

You know what I mean, and its a general statement to all, not just you. These topics can get personal (esp a topic like this which is not black-and-white) so lets make sure it doesn't escalate, otherwise it WILL be locked.
