I was going to share this with Ian W as I knew he would be most interested in this sort of art work but then realised that probably most of the rest of you would appreciate it too, at least to some extent - maybe the big tube boys will get a bit less out of though!

I would love to hot link a few of this guys art works but etiquette (and probably the forum rules) prevents me from doing so rolleyes.gif Click away and enjoy what he has to offer.

The top ones on the right are all his works while the lower ones on the right are from other artists. I have to admit to getting a little distracted and visiting other related artists works while I was there!

Pretty snazzy works .. might be something to look into , screen shot art , be interesting to compare how the sell via an out brain case drawing , course the painting and colour were as i currently only drawing in ball point pen and pencil ... makes mine a little antiquated maybe .

This maybe a good example of what can be done in a few hours - A2A B-17 - REX - in FSX New Zealand and actual WWII photo material.

Antonis is a stunning artist, he helped me out a bit with own rendering/art (what I moved on to from flight simulation). Shameless plug for my own page on there as well, link in my signature biggrin.gif

Not really, Its a form of art that anyone can do, its the programs like REX and all the addons glued together - the models are dimensioned by another as with the scenery, not the same as picking up a pen pencil planning and studying a specific theme or one coming into my brain case, it is a skill but i compare in to people like Robert Taylor or Michael Turners with there works, dough if you would be able to make moneys from them after printing costs and course in the last year i've been speaking to many looking at the drawing can see they are not computer generated.

I also look at the cost, guess colour in A3, that Globemaster drawing for example cast maybe 65 to 75 dollars to get it correct did require editing because today i need it to be technically correct were as with paint you can go back over and start again, reason for buying the A3 scanner then using CS5.5 i can scan it and correct then draw it , to get it right may take 3 to 4 weeks.

Thanx Brent ,You recall that aircraft carrier drawing (Battle of Midway) i brought in during a visit , that was done on card , that took about two months due to drawing on a gloss material but the result was excellent but print cost for one print alone was 30 dollars, this is were the above, are as they are ..... simply screens shots that two hours and completed .... well, all the work is done for you, you don't need to draw the aircraft or scenery and weather .

There has to be a way of reducing the price of a print Ian ...... and make sure you sign them , otherwise some scum bucket will kick them.
Its odd , i was talking to another forum member a few weeks ago about one of my screens showing up on a website offering payware stuff for free !! using his repaint and my screen.... i stumbled on it looking for pics of a particular aircraft .... he contacted the site and gave them a bullet.
I have no control over where my screens appear (or yours) once their on the web , but how do you police it ? anyway , i digress , Ian , i will buy that globemaster pic ...... and the orion .... smile.gif clever bugger.
