Bit of a quiz for the group , but google should have it solved quick smart .
What event took place on May 15th 1941 , at approx 1940hrs (7.40pm) .

Clue ... nah, no clues tongue.gif

First 3 correct replies (but pm me to keep it fair) will recive , post paid , one of the following dvd's chosen by me , otherwise it gets messy (may already be unsure.gif )

"Fighter Aces" history of aerial combat from WW1 to the start of the jet age .. features Adolf Galland, Ginger lacey , Erich Hartmann and more.
"Farnborough the golden years 49-59 .
"Flying legends " Duxford 2005.

I'll post the results if any, when i hear from you.

Note, the dvds are from my collection , so their used but in A-1 order.

Well , that was interesting and thanks for taking the time ... so , the next correct reply was from Scaber who takes home the Farnborough dvd.
Followed by Yob (EJ) and at the same time Owen (omitchell) , so yob got the duxford dvd , and because it was so close to a tie with the timeings Owen , if you want it , a doco on RAF cold war jets.

And the event was the first flight of the first British Jet aircraft , the E.28/39.

Ive got details for Yob and greg , so can you pm your post details Owen ....

Thanks guys . winkyy.gif

I was a great little competition cool.gif, after my frac with the lump of concrete one thing the doc's found was this ability to recall historical dates and time lines, I was tested with stupid puzzles and reed lines so to repeat, I could not do it , the pretty (very Pretty doc) come to my home to test me here because I could not travel.

Off with the stupid tests again, this went on for six to nine months and told this pretty little thing pull anyone off these volumes off the shelf, open a page and start reading - I then continued not word for word almost what was in that paragraph.

With that a report she wrote and file I gave a copy to the next new doctor I had, this brain doc gave me another test , dates in aviation and WWII , It was like turning on a tap, I got to add to his questions and nailed every one. Today in aviation history (may 15)
