depends what you define as 'best'- graphics or gameplay or flexibility...
i've always considered PC gaming to be the best overall. it will always have the best graphics, you can add on/modify forever and the multiplayer action is great. (and also flight sim is there)

Theres a playstation three?

I have never liked Play station games, they are a waste of time in my opinion, nothing to be learnt from them apart from a sequence of keypresses that might help you beat the repedative movments of some ai "enemy"..

i aways thought ps2 had better game play than the xbox plus i liked ps2 controllers over ugly ms xbox ones ,pc ofcourse is great for fsim but thats all in my books ,i dont play any other games on pc always just go to the ps2 with the kids to play others ...
ps3 ? well i cant wait to see one running some of my fav simulation games ,all car/bikes ones
ps2 over all for me ,they made lots of cool games for it aswell ..

I'm sort of a Microsoft fanboy:) I replaced my Xbox with a 360 on the release date, which wasn't really what I planned.
I don't get a lot of time to play games, although the kids get plenty of use out of it over the weekends, but I do use it a lot to stream music, video, and pics including flightsim screenshots.
I'm pretty excited today with the announcement of the release date for the HD-DVD player -- mid-March, $249! Pretty hard to pass up at that price.

if you can wait until march and have $1100, then yes there is a PS3

what!?? sounds like a rip-off to me, seeing as the system itself is $800

yeah cheaper than my first ps2 with all the extras cost $1600 back when they first came out ,
but like robin says i dont play many games anymore just simming in fsim mainly,
the kids are well taken care of when it comes to ps2 and yet when i had the xbox they never played it ,why? the controllers are just to big for 9 and 6 year olds to get there hands around {come to think of it so is ps2 for a six year old }

Obviously PC is my favourite, but I did not vote for it as the question asked which gaming system is best. PC's can do heaps more than gaming systems (edit pictures, make documents, browse internet, do your homework, instant messaging, play music etc etc etc PLUS gaming), but out of all the consoles, Nintendo has been a firm favourite with me ever since I was a kid.

I had a N64, not a PS1, and enjoy playing the more 'fun' Mario styled games with the funky controllers rather than the hardcore shoot 'em up 'more realistic' Sony equivalents. Then, when the Gamecube came out with its stunning 64bit processing power, I just had to get one, and enjoyed playing heaps of both multi console release and more light hearted Nintendo games on it for ages.

Now the Wii is out with its amazing wireless 3D controller technology, it is one of the most advanced gaming systems on the planet, and can even play gameboy and Gamecube games (like the PS2 did with PS1 games) and is high up on the 'I can't afford this but want it real bad' list for me :P

Yea, that Wii is pretty cool (I'm a Sony geek - voted for PS3), we set a dad and son up in one of the conference rooms at the hotel over xmas (son got it for a present) with a projector onto a screen, looked really awesome, and they came out about 4 hours later looking a wee bit tired :P

I've had all the Playstations, then went to Xbox and now 360, wont go back to Sony. XBox live is so much fun, I know Sony are going to do something similar, but I really enjoy the quality of the games so don't see any point to go for the 3.
