The "Commentator" is an Airbus employee, so allow for that.
What caught my eye?
15:45 the "High Alpha" pass - 100kts!
In Alpha Protection Mode, to recover, the pilot just opens the throttles.
Asiana pilots would be a-queuing for this aircraft.

One off the biggest things and recently mentioned from a regular visitor here Greg, why is the Farnborough Airshow not put on the local TV channels like they use to .... the good thing tho is the study from all direction cameras describing in better what is happening , other part is going into the engineering side , watching the A400M wing drop (only a second) as he hit the spoilers just after touch down .

Frankly I recon could run a two hour Special every couple years like they use to - HEY! notice the displays are much higher , tho they are larger aircraft , but then after watching many displays 20 years back they have really widen the gap.

Short answer might be that we can all watch it online in different ways, and don't have to eat up the unqualified drivel that usually accompanies cub reporters sent on airshow junkets!
I notice this among the younger generation especially - TV is not a part of their daily diet, whereas social media definitely is.

I think you maybe right ... in the 1990s it was Noel Edmonds ? ... least Raymond Baxter was a little more credible.

The rights are probly owned by Murdoch now, so you have to pay for Sky TV to see it. angry.gif

Yes I remember the Air France A320 high Alpha pass into the trees on June 26, 1988 at Mulhouse-Habsheim Airport.

I'm thinking of Mr Warren here:

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!

Yeah that Alpha Max didn't go so well, so many factors in that one...
