The old man was rushed to the hospital this afternoon , he had a big hemorrhage from the bowel area . Getting his second transfusion now (thank you blood donors)
Not sure what comes next .... he was just coming as right as he will ever be .
Will keep you posted , he has taken an interest in the forum of late (i read it for him) and in typical fashion ..... he sends his best, talk about stiff upper lip , hes real old school.

I've crossed more than my fingers, Marty, I do hope all goes well. It's kinda freaky what they can do these days.

My mother went through a stage like this when she was 79-80, we started to expect the worst but then she magically improved so there's always hope . . .

Sorry to bother you .... yet again, but it seems the old man (still in the hosp) may have had a stroke.(a small one)
Hes not responding to questions, hes away with the fairies .... all he can say is "Oh hell"
Bloody sad to see, and listen to ... he also has a virus in whats left of his gut , and also a chest infection just for good measure.

Dont mean to dump this here sorry, but ..... He will have a CT scan to see if anything is going on in the head , if thats negative , then his present state may be due to the infections ..... fingers crossed.

I hope that's the case - that generation seems to be either tough old roosters or tough old chooks. Best wishes.

What scares me the most is having to go back to hospital, the food alone will kill you, .... I think the "Oh hell" is the best description one would be thinking and saying openly , you simple tell him to get better because your old man is going to want to see this place! .

Thanks Mike , 99% sure its note a stroke . Not good today , hes just sleeping .... no response to anything. The team working on him are confident they can fix him.
The way he is , is a result of age (81) major surgery , a virus , and a chest infection.
Spent an hour just talking to him today , not sure what he took in , but fingers crossed.
Thanks for your thoughts.

Cheers Ian , i know this isn't the place to post this stuff , but he (lately) has felt hes been an unofficial part of the forum .
Anyway, Im being positive , but its hard to look at him ... all puffed up , tubes all over .... but i reckon hes in good hands, and if he decides to pull the pin ...well, thats up to him.

One off the biggest things is the looking at people comment that will help any recovery ! .. Build a mind , make them think and be/get surprised I think is the best answer... then keep adding to it , surely that cannot go wrong !
