Just got a thing on my phone from CNN , seems a Greek F-16 crashed into some aircraft on the ground , during a NATO exercise in Spain.
10 dead , didn't say if the F-16 was also on the ground ( well , it is now) or it was flying when it happened .

Edit: Crashed on take off .

Back in the early part of last century, The Times had a headline "Small earthquake in Chile, not many killed"...looks like the same syndrome at work.
This is from the once-mighty Beeb

I just got home pre 18.00 TV3 news, little mentioned other than injury's and possible cause .. being a Mil exercise they are kept pretty much hush hush unless constant following.

The aircraft after take off at 35-40 ft off the ground banked suddenly hard right and crashed into other NATO parked aircraft and both pilots were killed. 2 Greek pilots and one French pilot and 7 ground crew. And those aircraft that it crashed into were preparing to take off and ground crew were in the area.

I'll guess they will find out it was a computer glitch, mention the alt , when you see how spritely a F-16 jump off the deck there would be little or no time.... one off the most pronounced things you see as one taxi while checking the flight controls and they do move very quickly.
