Quite disturbing, I would not like to find myself in War.
When he found the first Turk lying there, the director played with my emotions well.

It is also well played with the upper lip Generals, Oh quite and toodle pip 'attitude of the time' , let the colonials charge up and in ... while reinforcement was close by but not use, the Dardanelles campaign and force's they had and were not used properly.

Can't watch it over here but there is a Gallipoli thing on here too. It's quite interesting to see how people in combat are portrayed. I have a mate who did deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan and they were almost forced to go to councilors when they got back. He refused. He reckons that there's 10% of people who go into combat that can handle it without PTSD or any of other psychological issues. The next 30% suffer but can deal and the other 60% really get messed up.

I think today most all people have something to live for , the objects and chasing fun things and access today where going back in those day as mentioned it was all a great adventure.

I know of one who has been in the Afgan region I believe a couple off tours and was fine, another three I know were Vietnam and think were pleased I had that history background and rattle specific details , regular one I bump into, his name is Stioux , have become great friends .. hes was with the artillery group in Vietnam and worked closely with the Australian troops.

Ok for those who missed it last week, only an our , frankly it should be run without adverts , if you follow this sort off series and actual history comparing notes and specifics , last week the HMS Queen Elizabeth , class off five was the flagship and operations center for the top brass , pre the Gallipoli beaching at now known as ANZAC cove, it was a Battleship campaign , fact the longest period the type was slinging shells onto enemy strongholds , the Turks now organized with the Germans start striking back with laying mines and also where the U-boat start to come into its own .. the mines and U-boats really knocked the confidence in the Royal Navy and also the others loosing and damaging major units , both the British and the French loosing pre-dreadnought types .. simply they just blew up ! .

Something I said before and showed the incompetence in the British Army was so typical and its pompous hierarchy to the soldiers, hundred years on it has change due a sort of independence .. but sorta confirmed what I have read , course made for TV and dramatized but many of the general facts are tru.

ANZACS .. Heading into the last two hours tonight I believe , It has been a great mini series , the typical reason from one when told this is what I was to watch - this last week, she said "Oh I don't live in the past , I look towards the Future" ... that is a real 'img src=http://nzff.org/images/smilies/censored2.gif answer' to their knowledge ... to understand the future, you have to look at the past , my past .. I learn to use that towards a future, history is the learning.

Very much looking forward to the final and .. love these two hour versions .. this series has been done SO very well ! B-)
