Yep .. but this one really suits the NZ currently with some tourists

A driver crosses a white line and tells the officer:

“Listen, I'm driving. I can't look at the ground at the same time!”

I like:

A driver is stopped for running a red light:

“Well, sir, the light wasn't red, just tomato orange!”

As for " They had one job to do... " , back in the days I was given the task to check peoples competence just for safety sake on machines , was one who was thrown on the payroll (mentioned he worked on fishing boats so I figured ok , must have some muscle we could use) , in the end, could only get the bloke to do the very simple things ... we had run out of these tasks , a quite month , so I said to the guy to weed the garden out front , ... he proved that was to much of chore ...

By this time I was upstairs with management discussing specific details on a job, the manager ask me were I placed 'Clem' and what work he was doing , I told Bill I put him outside to dig the front garden and just tidy it up ... Ole Bill looked out the window , his words were "well he sure as hell ain't going the be a market gardener ..... had a look myself and just

I went down stairs and outside, this stage a girl walked laughing her head off at this bloke Clem ... I said to him , what the hell , I thought you said you worked on a fishing boats ....... his reply "THERE WASN'T A GARDEN ON THE FISHING BOAT" He had one job to do...
