I seriously hate when that happens ... authorities really go overboard , 1988 was the worst year after the Ramstien AFB airshow crash.
From the that look off the video , looks he simply just mushed out ... nothing under the wings ... Hawker Hunters are well know for being a very forgiving aircraft.

Yes with this and the recent Gnat crash at another airshow I imagine the authorities will be reviewing airshows and that might be really unfortunate.
As well as the loss of life involved I hate seeing rare aircraft get destroyed needlessly like this. Displays of this type of aircraft need to be conducted at several mistakes high.

One way off putting it ... the 'Black Ice' of the air, it is a pity about about the Hunter , I did not here about the Gnat .. be another disappointing loss.

Difficult to imagine how the pilot was pulled from the wreckage, alive.
It must've been pretty close to a near-miss event.

There is a well known account and photos , a Grumman Panther and a ramp strike on the .. from memory USS Phillipean Sea , literary snapped the aircraft in half and the cockpit module slid along the deck saving the pilot .
