An odd combination i agree ... and trust me... they don't mix.
Yesterday one of my flatmates purchased some of that warehouse flat pack .. build it yourself stuff, and of course asked me if i could put it together, and me being me said yes.... no problem.
Well , i took the stuff (2 bookcases, a 3 drawer thing and a lift top chest ) into my cave , put on some Chopin , opened a bottle of Merlot , and set forth.
Im not sure if it was the music , the unreadable plans and ill fitting parts ... but she now has one bookcase with three drawers and a lid :ph43r:

But seriously ... that stuff is strange , seems to be made of weetbix , and it does not like being taken apart and re done the right way.
So , my advise is simple .... if you plan to spend 4 hours assembling this stuff ... don't listen to classical music .

Strange, it sounds like a great night in, but obviously you didn't get the mix right. Maybe more red and less Chopin next time.

I do know that stuff, from memory the moisture from painting actually dissolves it.

Haha, I'd blame the vino. Last time I tried to fix a mates PC we'd had a few too many beers before pulling it to bits, end result was a fried GPU.

I remember reading last year that IKEA were planning to put microchips in their components, which would shout "Wrong!" if you tried to attach Part A to Part D instead of Part B.
I think the Merlot was a bad choice - surely a Cabinet Sauvignon would have been the go?

(and yes, I do know the correct spelling :P )

These things come in kitset form .. should not require any Chopin at all unless its going into the fire.
