Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy . Steam cleaning a machine prior to doing the inspection .... and that screw decided to take flight , and land in my safety glasses.
Needless to say , a lot of new procedures have been put in place.

Certainly "Wurth" having the appropriate PPE - think a moment what the outcome might have been...

Marty - update the procedure, for a thorough dry sweep out of any returned platforms (the customers won't do it) .
Then put on wellyboots, welder's apron, long gauntlets and a full-face shield, before you start any pressure cleaning stuff.

Too right, Doug - otherwise you could be charged with failing to take proper care of all employees, which includes yourself (this side of the Ditch anyway)

The crazy things that can happen ... Marty you could have been really Screwed ! , one thing I did start in the mid 1980s in engineering ... always wear safety glass's while tool making, it surprising how little and how small something is so very dangerous ... you could not see it with the eyeball ...

Good grief, I do wonder how far it would've gone in if not for the glasses...

They should use a shot like this in their ads -- "Wurth their weight in gold."

I can remember, during all my years as an Electrical and Electronic Engineer, when soldering electronic components, the number of times that molten solder has splashed onto my prescription spectacles which protected my eyes.

Without wearing my glasses I would certainly have been blinded many times!

Its surprising just how well Spectacles can protect the eyes from various types of harm!

Even on my Motorbike, wearing my open face helmet, with my visor up, my glasses protect my eyes from all sorts of stuff flying through the air!

Having to wear glasses may be annoying, but they do protect your eyes in times of need!

Paul...aka: Mr Magoo!.... .... ...!

......From my previous disastrous experiences with Females, I make sure I go nowhere Near Misses now.... :wink2: ....!
